The history of Jabugo Real dates back to 1890, when the Fernández Coronado family, who traditionally worked as mule drivers, begin to make products from Iberian pigs in the Sierra de Huelva and sell them in neighboring provinces like Badajoz and Seville. They marketed their products under the Sotero family name as well as the El Campo brand name for many years, selling their products exclusively under the brand Jabugo Real since 2006.
